Livestreaming to sell products proved its effectiveness in a campaign to sell lychees in Bắc Giang, a northern province of Vietnam. During the 4th wave of COVID-19 in Vietnam, this province took a flexible approach to boost its lychee sales while at the same time being the epicenter of the pandemic. In early June 2021, Sendo, an e-commerce platform, live-streamed two Bắc Giang farmers who led more than 30,000 viewers on a virtual tour of their lychee orchards and succeeded in selling 8 tons of fresh lychees in a short period. Before that, the Vosco e-commerce platform also assisted farmers in selling agricultural products by utilizing live streaming. Vosco sent their teams to guide farmers on how to take photos of the products, write marketing content, live stream, and sell them on the Vosco platform. Livestreaming has emerged as a new direction for Vietnamese farmers. Thanks to this new sales channel, Vietnamese farmers can control the output of their agricultural products, and the country could potentially have a new billion-dollar industry. However, turning livestreaming into an economic industry requires a lot of work. Firstly, Vietnam needs professional streamers who know how to combine entertainment and sales. It also needs platforms that can support millions of visitors at once and software specifically designed to facilitate interactions between streamers and viewers. This is a huge opportunity for Vietnamese technology companies.

Public libraries are accessible to the general public and usually funded by public sources. There are some features that all public libraries have in common. Firstly, they are usually financed by taxes. Secondly, they are managed by a board to ensure they serve the public interest. Thirdly, they are open to all people and provide basic services free of charge. Public libraries play an integral part in modern society as they help to promote literacy, provide a great variety of books for readers of all ages, and serve as hubs for community information.
Public libraries differ from research or school libraries in that they cater to the general public’s reading needs rather than focus on the needs of one specific school or academic community. Free services offered by public libraries include quiet study spaces for children, students, and adults, access to computers and the internet, and book clubs to promote appreciation of literature among the public. Generally, public library users are allowed to borrow books and materials for a short time. However, public libraries can also have non-circulating reference collections that can only be read on the premises and not borrowed.
