As an educator with years of experience, I strongly disagree with the idea that schools should cut art and music out of the curriculum in favor of focusing solely on subjects like information technology. While it is important for children to be prepared for the modern world, a well-rounded education that includes the arts is crucial for their overall development.
Art and music play a vital role in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence in children. These skills are just as important in the modern world as technical skills. In fact, many employers are now recognizing the value of hiring individuals with a strong foundation in the arts, as they bring unique perspectives and problem-solving abilities to the table.
Furthermore, art and music provide an avenue for self-expression and can be a source of joy and inspiration for children. By cutting these subjects from the curriculum, we risk depriving students of the opportunity to explore and develop their talents in these areas, which are essential for their personal growth and well-being.
While it is undeniable that information technology is an important field in the modern world, it should not come at the expense of the arts. A balanced education that includes a variety of subjects will better prepare children for the future, as it equips them with a diverse set of skills and knowledge that will serve them well in any career path they choose to pursue.
In conclusion, I believe that cutting art and music from the curriculum in favor of focusing solely on information technology is a shortsighted approach to education. A well-rounded education that includes the arts is essential for children to thrive in the modern world.
Sample 2:
It is generally argued that innovative subjects like IT technology and robot technology should be added to the school curriculum instead of arts, music and choreography. However, these subjects play a crucial role in forming pupils' brain development and imagination as well as calming them down.
Admittedly, every subject is much more important for children's lifestyles, including music and art. In fact, music is something that can console everyone in any situation and help individuals to concentrate as well as overcome depression or stress. For instance, in ancient Sparta, boys were taught music and poetry so that they could obtain the motivation to defend their country and relax after wars. That is why nowadays, there is a special song in the army of every country. When it comes to art, if pupils learn how to draw and paint pictures, they will broaden their minds as well as enhance their creativity and imagination. As an example of this view, Leonardo DaVinci invented the first aeroplane scheme by drawing its structure.
Nevertheless, in our contemporary world, there has been a great demand for hi-tech over the past few decades. Therefore, most teenagers prefer attending IT courses rather than recreational subjects. For this reason, most schools are applying such courses in developing countries. In Japan, for example, every school leaver has to create something new like a robot or software before finishing school. Otherwise, they cannot get their qualifications and attestations. In our country, information technology is also developing rapidly day by day and promotes teaching this subject as an academic value.
In conclusion, considering both these views, I strongly believe that arts and music should be conducted with the help of computer technology in schools.
Sample 3:
Many individuals think that the aim of education should be preparing children for the modern world. Thus, music and art should be removed from the curriculum in order to focus on more beneficial subjects such as information technology. In my opinion, art and music are equally important as other subjects in the modern world, which is why they should be in the curriculum. The aim of this essay is to disagree with the argument, and it will explain the debate by using examples.
To begin with, it is important to bear in mind that art and music has a unique place throughout history. By learning forms of art, students would have a chance to express their thoughts and feelings better. Furthermore, the ability of lateral thinking can be increased by learning arts and students would have the potential for combining the upward trends such as mobile application and the internet with art. For example, there are many applications that include music and the power of technology together. Consequently, music and arts should not be seen as outmoded and included in the curriculum.
Secondly, cutting art and music out of the curriculum can cause a loss of the behemoth potential of students. It is noticeable that every child has unique skills and ability. Therefore, especially in fundamental education, many different subjects should be taught to children. In this way, students can discover their personal interests and it gives a clearer vision of the modern world. Instead of teaching a particular subject, comprehensive education in different areas, including art and music, would be more beneficial in order to prepare children for the industrial and technological age.
To summarize, although some individuals believe that art and music should be cut out of the curriculum in the school, this essay demonstrated that the current technological development might be combined with art and as a second argument education should be well-rounded in a different subject for better preparation. For this reason, there is no doubt that art and music should be included in the curriculum.
Sample 4:
Nowadays, we cannot deny that education is the most important thing for children. Education has a duty to prepare children to live in the modern world with happiness. There are many subjects that were taught in school. Some people believe that school should focus on subjects such as information technology and deduct art and music. In my view, I strongly disagree with this statement.
There are many reasons that art and music are still important currently. Firstly, both subjects can release you from extension situation. Secondly, these subjects make you feel relaxed and fulfil your energy when you feel bored. For example, when children are bored doing homework, they can enjoy by singing a song. Finally, art and music make you feel calm. After that, it is easier to create new ideas after you listen to music or see some pictures.
Nevertheless, some people argue that art and music were antique subjects which is not necessary for recent days. Hence, students should not learn it because it wastes time. Moreover, students should study information technology instead of art and music since it will be more crucial in the future world. The main reason is in modern society, we always use IT for finding every information. For instance, we are serving the internet for finding new worldwide information.
In conclusion, every subject is valuable in itself. So, we should not ignore each area. No one knows what will happen in the future, maybe one day you will need to use this knowledge.
Sample 5:
Many people think that students need to concentrate on practical subjects such as information technology to prepare for a modern world. Therefore, schools should put more stress on these subjects and remove art and music out of the syllabus. While I agree that practical subjects should be emphasized, I believe art and music still play an important role.
On the one hand, I agree that practical subjects need to be focused on because they prepare students for their future career. For instance, information technology is the basis for many jobs in the modern world such as accountant or office worker. Some other jobs in economics and related fields also require maths, physics and certain theoretical subjects. Without the knowledge of these subjects, it will be difficult for students to work efficiently in their jobs.
On the other hand, I would argue that although students don’t need art and music in their future career, these subjects still have certain benefits as they can bring happiness to one’s life. For instance, studies have shown that classical music can make people feel more relaxed and avoid negative feelings. Another case is that creating art like drawing or painting a picture can give you an absolutely rewarding and a sense of happiness. That’s why arts are also important and should not be ignored.
In conclusion, while I agree that it is good to help children to focus on theoretical subjects, arts should not be cut out of the syllabus since they can make people happy and satisfied.
