In our world, many individuals commit themselves to extensive education and skill development, all in pursuit of securing a rewarding career. The general consensus among people is that a gratifying profession is the most vital factor in making each individual’s life meaningful. I completely disagree with this statement as, in addition to work, relationships and personal experiences are two distinct elements that contribute significantly to discovering meaning in life.
In the contemporary world, relationships are essential for people’s fulfillment in life. Whether it’s the support of friends or the bond with family, these strong connections create a person’s sense of existence, which importantly generates motivation to strive mightily in both occupation and meaningful leisure activities such as volunteering, exploring new horizons, and supporting others. Moreover, a balanced combination of work and leisure not only enriches life but also provides marvelous opportunities to foster the journey of self-exploration, allowing individuals to uncover their true personality, strengths, weaknesses, and potential. These internal factors are keys to encountering difficulties, leading to achievements.
Furthermore, the accumulation of real-life experiences plays an essential role in building a positive attitude towards life. Traveling to novel destinations or engaging in new activities are effective methods for breaking free from the comfort zone, leading to the relinquishment of negative feelings. This can prevent people, especially workaholics, from common psychological problems such as sleep deprivation, depression, and anxiety disorders, which can foster decisions to suicide. Creating memorable experiences for oneself can instill a sense of purpose and satisfaction, empowering individuals to conquer their fears and pursue their passions.
In summary, I am of the opinion that the meaning of life is derived not just from engaging in a fulfilling occupation but also from nurturing profound relationships and cherishing personal experiences.
Sample 2:
While it is argued that a distinguished career is regarded as the most pivotal thing in a person’s life, I firmly believe that there are other factors which can make people’s lives meaningful.
On the one hand, it cannot be denied that working plays a vital role in one’s life. According to an annual survey carried out in the UK, a person spends about 25 or 30 years in their occupation, hence working time accounts for nearly one-third of a person’s life. So, if people obtain a worthwhile job that blooms, their lifetime is likely to be filled with human well-being. Additionally, the state of being stuck in an unsuccessful career might have a destructive influence on people’s spirits. Those with turbulent career or experience of job dissatisfaction could suffer from chronic stress and discouragement, which affects their mental and physical health adversely, as well as making them have a negative outlook on their lives.
On the other hand, I contend that there are more desirable goals than a successful career to attain in our life. A vast majority of people perceive a meaningful life as helping others living in poor and underprivileged conditions. They spend most of their lifetime devoting to charity work. Furthermore, there are other people who do not enter the workforce but seem satisfied with their lives. In some Asian countries such as Japan, dual-income families are not as common as that in Western nations. Take Japan as a telling example; men are often the breadwinners while women stay at home, take over the responsibilities related to household chores and childcare, which make them feel content as a well-established tradition.
In conclusion, while undoubtedly people can benefit enormously from a glittering career, there are still a lot of significant factors which might enable them to lead a happy life.
Sample 3:
Many people believe that work plays an indispensable role in a person’s life. While it is argued that work engagement can generate many values for many, I would contend that it is not the only enjoyable pursuit for human existence.
On the one hand, it is widely acknowledged that having satisfying jobs has brought about varied benefits and meanings to people. Firstly, they can have the opportunity to polish the professional expertise. Also, they can apply and even improve such acquired knowledge and practical skills as computing or negotiation through different tasks at the workplace. Secondly, a fulfilling job may provide people with a sense of financial stability and security. Without any doubt, high and stable wages and salaries have financially supported people to pay for food, accommodating, other living expenses as well as facilitating different aspects of their lives. Finally, personal relationships and the atmosphere in the workplace are extremely important for people’s well-being. Having a good manager or friendly colleagues, for example, can make a huge difference in workers’ levels of happiness and general quality of life.
On the other hand, it should be argued that working is not always lucrative and ideal choices for some people, depending upon their conditions and traits. Concerning a meaningful life, for many people, family even matters more than their careers. Without unconditional love and support from beloveds, people can hardly overcome numerous stresses from life and work. It is argued that respect from colleagues can be a substitution for family’s love; however, it is uncertain whether they will support us when we no longer have power. Meanwhile, family members are those who always love and protect us under any circumstances. Further, for those whose financial condition is already secured, they may prefer devoting their time to other values to working. It seems to be prevailing that the affluent tend to leave their jobs, traveling, and doing whatever they are passionate about. For them, life is appealing enough to merit further exploration.
In conclusion, while it is true that having job fulfillment is beneficial to many people, it is not necessarily an enjoyable pursuit for others. Thus, solely job satisfaction is not enough for a meaningful life.
Sample 4:
It is often said that the most significant factor in human life is occupation. It is a common belief that habitually claims, without a job that satisfies human beings, people cannot find a specific meaning for their lives. From my point of view, I completely agree with the idea that work is necessary.
Firstly, one of the main reasons for this argument is the powerful impact of jobs on people's lifestyles. For example, in most developed countries all around the world where the population can find suitable opportunities to find an occupation, it is obvious that people feel regularly self-confidence and they announce that they are satisfied. It means appropriate work is the key to happiness and other feelings that humans have such as positive emotions as a result of working in a luxury hotel. Therefore, it makes it clear why the most indispensable component in our lives is careers.
Secondly, another reason is the positive transformations that are related to having an occupation. For instance, we all know the population who have their own works are habitually well-being as well as having a specific programme to perform their responsibilities. Additionally, there is no denying that when humans decide to follow some roles that have multiple advantages, becoming successful will be fulfilled. All these things pertain to having a suitable job that we are interested in. As a result, it becomes apparent there are numerous reasons behind each claim that we cannot ignore.
All things considered, I strongly agree with that idea. I also believe that communities should consider it as a crucial element. It is predicted that to continue reflecting on this essential item we will have a better world to live in, in the near future.
Sample 5:
It is believed that career achievements play a pivotal role in culminating the meaning of life. From my perspective, this opinion is completely unconvincing, because a person’s life is only fulfilling when there is a combination of fortune, family and well-being. The following paragraphs would shed light on my viewpoint.
Admittedly, advocates of this standpoint have their rational grounds. First, success in careers leads to a variety of economic benefits for job-seekers. In particular, stable jobs offer workers monthly earnings, which would increase as workers perform well and climb the career ladder. Even, enterprises provide treatments for employees’ families such as insurance or trips yearly. Second, successful businessmen were respected by society. Irrefragably, numerous individuals usually hope that they would successfully achieve their goals and already succeed as their role models. In reality, individuals are willing to pay large sums to listen to experiences from the CEO of Vietnamese ubiquitous groups.
Despite the aforementioned merits, I still believe that a meaningful life needs more elements than money and fame. First, employees should have excellent well-being to enjoy their achievements. To be specific, several staff exchange their health to work in polluted workplaces which cause many respiratory diseases. Consequently, their savings are just enough for paying the hospital's fees. In addition, family and social relationships are of paramount importance to any worker. Especially, working environments are especially one of the reasons for stress while the family is always empathetic and helps job seekers to relax. Moreover, friends' meetings are also a feature which endows living standards.
In conclusion, it is indisputable that succeeding in professions is the target of various individuals. Nonetheless, I still believe that a meaningful life is contributed by poverty, family and health.
Sample 6:
It is often argued by many people that working is an important thing in their life. While others believe that life is useless without a successful career, I completely disagree with this statement since prioritizing work would lead to severe health issues.
There are two major points why dedicating life as a worker does not play a significant role in the happiness of one's life. Firstly, when we are working for companies, it means that we have to be able to obey the rules and meet the company's work ethic and standards. In other words, if we do not finish the workload, taking longer hours is unbearably becoming an agreement or even worse being fired which leads to a high level of stress. Secondly, working for a factory means that you sacrifice your weekdays for work life and only have two days of the weekend for leisure time which sometimes is taken by your family for get-togethers. Consequently, you have little time for yourself to spend on activities you like.
Another prominent reason is the fact that there are many detrimental effects, especially on health due to prioritizing work over any else in life. Sedentary life, for example, is reported by the Indonesia Ministry of Health as the key factor contributing to severe health issues among workers because workers lack physical activity, thus generating heat stroke. In addition, balancing work and life is seemingly a great way to overcome health problems. Therefore, managing a healthy lifestyle by doing physical activities and not considering work as a top priority in life is a better way of life.
In conclusion, if people pay too much attention to their careers, it would increase their stress level and lead to several health problems. Hence, balancing work and personal life is undeniably shaping a healthy and worthy life.
Sample 7:
It is undeniable that work is one of the most essential parts of a human being’s life. Therefore, many people believe that their life will become nothing if they do not succeed in their careers. I partly disagree with this idea since there are several other factors that are crucial for humanity.
On the one hand, admittedly, work is very pivotal to everyone. Firstly, by working, people can enhance many fundamental skills and improve their knowledge in their field. That is to say, this will make people either emerge their full potential or discover new breakthroughs in certain subjects which they have already mastered. Secondly, they can earn money to support not only their own livelihood but also their families. Ultimately, albeit some people, especially scientists or the affluent ones, are not money-oriented, they still work passionately and diligently towards their goals to show their abilities and earn respect from other people simply just to desire to find something new for the human race. Najwa Shihab, a well-known Indonesian journalist, for example, has thought that she works just for war against justice in Indonesia's political world regardless of the wages she got.
On the other hand, from my perspective, health also is a thing that should not be neglected. Obviously, we cannot work well with poor health. Thus, the performance of a person who gets a fatal disease will be affected a lot. Moreover, if most people just focus on work, one day they will get seriously sick, which might lead to a burden for their families. In 2016, research results released by the Indonesian Epidemic Journal Center showed that there is a significant number of workers suffering from various diseases reaching about 70%, and this number has been increasing year by year. Consequently, not only they will be affected but also others who take care of them.
In conclusion, although I admit that having a successful job is the top priority of each individual's goals, we should also be more careful about our health to make our life better.
Sample 8:
In this world, having a job with better pay is vital for a living. Some people argue that without a successful profession, a person's career is not complete. I completely agree with this statement and the following essay states points and supports my opinion.
Firstly, we need money to run a family. If we have good work with a better payment, then we can lead the family without financial struggles. Additionally, performing well in the field leads to promotion with salary hikes. Hence, we can spend more of our budget on the family. This makes the individual's life successful. For example, in Kerala, there is a survey conducted by the authorities among older parents, revealing that they are happy with their children who earn more and are in good company in society.
Secondly, having a decent job in an area where the individual likes make them happier and satisfied. A task without satisfaction leads to stress and depression. Moreover, in such a situation, youngsters cannot find meaning in their life. They do a profession to get the salary to run the family and to get a position in society. For instance, most of the workers in the IT field are not facing motivation because of the lack of interest in the work and pressure from the management.
In conclusion, in my opinion, having a job with good pay and satisfaction makes an individual's life worth and relaxed. Without those things, youngsters feel ignored by their loved ones and depressed in their careers. Therefore, it is important that we consider work as the most viable option for success in life.
Sample 9:
Life always requires some form of discipline in order to succeed, this can be achieved by doing a job and having a proper career. Many people may or may not agree with this as some think otherwise. Whereas, I advocate that having a proper, stable work ethic is needed to shape a person for his livelihood.
To begin with, in the current 21st-century society has revolutionized itself to a considerable extent with which choosing a proper stable job has become a huge hassle. Humans themselves have no idea what to do as in which profession suits them the best so that they can achieve success. One such example is that major IT companies not only look for computer proficient students but also look for students from other fields, this creates a small confusion for people who search for a proper job position. If a person gets a proper well-paying business this can make their work-life stable.
Secondly, a proper well-paying profession can make you the breadwinner of the family which will help you raise your social status among the community. Typically, in a country like India, people expect more from every individual so a proper paying job can be the most optimal solution. An accurate example would be taking two scenarios where a YouTuber will mostly earn less than the one who works in a well working professional environment.
In conclusion, only a proper occupation will help you have a secure and stable business in growth we must always work in order to bring in excellence. The proper activity ethics provides a proper meaning to our growth. Therefore, working towards something which provides us with a jump start in our life to our tread further in the passage of life. My recommendation is that every human must always work with a purpose so as to achieve excellence.
Sample 10:
Some people think that work is the ultimate goal in every person’s life and to live a meaningful life, one has to excel in it. In my opinion, it is partially true because it provides us with money which is essential for our survival, but one can live a meaningful and happy life even without it.
On the one hand, work is a source of our salaries which allows us to pay for the things that we need or want. In other words, people are paid according to their success in their field, although some people simply work to make some positive impacts on society and the world as a whole. Unlike in the past, the cost of living in modern society is pretty expensive and thus, the majority of people don’t see their existence without a job. For example, people in America have to pay hefty taxes and fees for every service they take and without proper economic background, one is guaranteed to struggle. Therefore, people consider work as one of the most important things in their life.
However, on the other hand, one can ensure a prosperous future even without success in their career because life is not only about materialistic gains and becoming the best. Rather, it is about fulfilling your life purposes like being happy, contented, being thankful, and many others. In other words, one can work for the welfare of others by committing to work in charities and care homes because you will experience love, happiness, and peace despite being paid little money. In fact, the majority of rich people are unhappy even though they are living a successful life.
In conclusion, each and every person should work for their dream jobs and the money but at the same time, should not forget the significance of spiritual wellbeing because without it life is truly meaningless.
