Perfume Pagoda is a religious site as well as being a great sight-seeing spot in Viet Nam. It is situated in Huong Son Commune, My Duc District, Ha Noi. It is a vast complex of Buddhist temples and shrines, including Den Trinh (Presentation Shrine) and Thien Tru (Heaven Kitchen) Pagoda, in the limestone Huong Tich mountains. The centre of this complex is the Perfume Temple, also called Chua Trong (Inner Temple), located in Huong Tich Cavern. It is thought that the first temple was built on the current site of Thien Tru in the 15th century during the reign of Le Thanh Tong. Over the years some of its structures which were in ruins have been restored or replaced. Many Vietnamese works of literature, both old and modern, have made Perfume Pagoda their focus. It has also provided backdrops for many famous paintings. Its beauty has been used as a theme of many famous songs and a topic of lyric poetry. Nowadays during its festival (from the middle of January to the middle of March on the lunar calendar), Perfume Pagoda attracts large numbers of pilgrims from all over Viet Nam.

Dịch: Chùa Hương là một địa điểm tôn giáo cũng như là một điểm tham quan tuyệt vời ở Việt Nam. Nó nằm ở xã Hương Sơn, huyện Mỹ Đức, Hà Nội. Đây là một quần thể rộng lớn gồm các ngôi chùa và đền thờ Phật giáo, bao gồm Đền Trình (Đền Trình) và Chùa Thiên Trù (Bếp Trời), trong dãy núi đá vôi Hương Tích. Trung tâm của quần thể này là Chùa Hương, còn gọi là Chùa Trong (Chùa Trong), nằm trong Động Hương Tích. Người ta cho rằng ngôi chùa đầu tiên được xây dựng trên địa điểm Thiên Trù hiện nay vào thế kỷ 15 dưới thời vua Lê Thánh Tông. Trong những năm qua, một số cấu trúc của nó đã bị hủy hoại đã được khôi phục hoặc thay thế.

Nhiều tác phẩm văn học Việt Nam, cả cổ lẫn hiện đại, đã chọn Chùa Hương làm tâm điểm. Nó cũng đã cung cấp phông nền cho nhiều bức tranh nổi tiếng. Vẻ đẹp của nó đã được sử dụng làm chủ đề của nhiều bài hát nổi tiếng và đề tài của thơ trữ tình. Ngày nay, vào dịp lễ hội (từ giữa tháng Giêng đến giữa tháng Ba âm lịch), chùa Hương thu hút một lượng lớn khách hành hương từ khắp nơi trên đất nước Việt Nam.
