My project is about elephants at Thu Le Zoo. The zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Ha Noi. It was opened in 1977. A large number of visitors come to the zoo every year because they’re interested in the rare and exciting animals there.
At the zoo, visitors can have a special “Meet the elephants” experience – they can go near the elephants in a group of three people and give them food. It’s really interesting. But of course, the visitors need a zookeeper next to them. The zookeepers help the visitors and talk about the elephants.
In our biology lessons, we’ve learnt about some of the most important animals in danger. The biggest problem for elephants is hunting. They use their ivory in medicine, but it is no use! I just hope people stop harming such lovely animals like elephants!
