The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional holidays in Vietnam. The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated not only in Vietnam but also in some other parts of Asia. Every year, it is on 15th August of the lunar calendar, when the full moon shines at night. In Vietnam, the Mid-Autumn festival is mainly an occasion for the kids to celebrate and enjoy the best time of the year. Parents often buy star-shaped lanterns for their kids, and there are also some special events such as lantern parades and lion dances for them on this day.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. When the flagger signals, the teams start the race. Then the strong arms began to pull up to steer the boat forward. Quickly, the boats rushed forward.
