Dad: Are you excited about the school camp Alex?
Alex: Yeah, I am actually. All my friends are going.
Dad: Great! Have you got anything?
Alex: Well, I’ve got lots of clothes, but I’m not sure what other things to take. My bag is nearly full.
Dad: Well, I think the weather will be good, quite hot really. So you should take a water bottle.
Alex: Yeah, I’ve got two water bottles. They’re always useful.
Dad: And will what will you sleep in at night?
Alex: I’ve got a sleeping bag. Mom bought me a new one last week.
Dad: Good. What about things to eat with?
Alex: I’ve got a camping fork and spoon, but I haven’t got a knife. I can’t find one.
Dad: Don’t worry. If I look in the kitchen, I’ll find a knife. I’m sure.
Alex: Ok, thanks.
Dad: And have you got a compass? I saw it on the list from school.
Alex: No, I need to buy one. We can go to the outdoor shop on the way to school tomorrow morning. We mustn’t forget.
Dad: And you should take a first-aid kit. I’ve got one.
Alex: No, I don’t want to take a first-aid kit. The teacher will have one. Nobody else is taking a first-aid kit.
Dad: Okay, and what about this torch here?
Alex: It’s too big for my bag, I can’t get it in.
Dad: But you must take one. If it’s very dark at night, you’ll need a good torch. I think I’ve got a nice one. It’s smaller.
