Plastic and the Environment
Plastic is a material we use every day. The first plastics were made more than 100 years ago from parts of plants. Plastics are now made from oil, coal and natural gas. We are (61)…………..up these things so fast (62)…………..the Earth’s supplies may run out. Because of this, scientists are investigating new ideas for making plastics from plants such as sweet potato, bamboo and flax.
Things made from plastic can be useful for people (63)…………..bad for the planet. Some plastics can last for a long time (64)…………..wearing out, and can be difficult to get rid of when they are not needed. They can remain in rubbish dumps called landfill sites for hundreds of years. Landfills can be smelly, ugly and harmful (65) …………..our planet.
Recycling is a good way to get rid of unwanted plastics. Recycled waste materials can be used (66)…………..to make new products. This can be difficult as different types of plastic need to be recycled in different ways. Some kinds of plastics can be (67)…………..down and used to make new things such as bags and bottles. Others can be made into fibres for clothing.
Another way to protect the environment is to use canvas bags for shopping rather than plastic ones. A lot of plastic objects can also be reused. Plastic bottles can be refilled many (68)………….., rather than throwing them away (69)…………..they are empty. Unwanted plastics goods such as CDs and toys can be sold or (70)…………..away to charity shops.

Suggested paragraph:
Cyberbullying has become a burning issue in the present-day society, where modern technology has developed at great speed. Thus, something should be done to prevent it to the maximum. First, children should be told and explained carefully about cyberbullying; for example, what cyberbullying is and whether they know anyone who is being bullied. This way, they will become aware of the issue. Second, it is advisable that safe online behaviors be comprehensively taught to children because although a lot of social networking activity seems harmless, there are still unavoidable risks created from the virtual world. Children had better understand the fact that once they post something online, it never disappears from the Internet and they can lose control over it since it can be easily saved and shared or even modified by others. Even deleting it doesn't remove it from the Internet. Therefore, children are advised to think carefully before any personal updates online and only post what they would be comfortable with anyone seeing. Last but not least, children should be taught how to properly respond to cyberbullying. If they respond to cyberbullying, the bullies would feel satisfied and powerful. Then, they ought to keep a record of everything, collect the evidence and join with parents and teachers to figure out the best solution. In conclusion, if each student is equipped with accurate information on cyberbullying, this matter will be resolved someday.
