Recently, it has been noticed that crime has increased and become more violent. Therefore, many people believe that violence in entertainment media is a main factor that causes more crime, and it should be blame for this increase.
To begin with, violent images, especially violent video games, are guiding people to commit crime. Most teenagers who play violent games are more aggressive than people who do not play. Violent games teach them to fight in order to become the winner. Some games encourage their players to be a thief by teaching them how to steal, rob, kidnap, and so on. As a result, those players can learn some tips to successful in crime.
Another point to consider is that violent sexual images make more rape cases in many societies, especially in developing countries. Because of development in technology, it is very easy for people to access the Internet, and some people may use it in bad ways. They post, upload and share violent sexual images as well as videos, which may encourage uneducated and unethical men to rape women. For example, Cambodia, one of many developing countries in Asia, has experienced an increase in rape cases. Men rape women, underage girls and old ladies. More than that, some fathers rape their own daughters.
In conclusion, violent images do provoke crime in the world. As a person living on this earth, I am really concerned about more serious crimes in the future. I believe that not only me, but also most people want to suggest that governments as well as media institutions take action in order to reduce and prevent crime from happening because of the violent images in entertainment media.
Sample 2:
Nowadays, rapid development in technology has caused some new problems to society. Although in many regions, the increase in crime rate is due to the violent images shown on television, video games and the internet. Although many individuals agree with this opinion, many others think differently.
Those who agree with this opinion, arguing that the violence is caused by the media, argue that some characters in the film can become role models and have a negative influence on young people. For instants, most of the mafia film series may motivate some individuals to thiefting and illegal use of weapons as it shows that how successful are the people who carry out the illegal activities such as robbing banks or terrorism. In addition, violent content such as aggressive games and movies can increase aggression in users. Take for example the game Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto, two of the most violent games with many players around the world. Furthermore, explicit and harsh contents, somehow, become trends which are very popular with the youth. Of course, there are many other incentives for misbehaviour, namely poverty or lack of education and morale.
On the other hand, some other individuals do not blame TV and video games for increasing crime numbers. In fact, they argue that the increase in the total number of illegal activities is not necessarily caused by the real-life problems. For example, poverty can lead to theft because when people are so poor that they can not even find a stable job, they may commit crimes to support their families. Moreover, governments are responsible for this increase, because they must provide economic and social security to prevent crime such as educating children and parents to prevent them from becoming criminals.
In summary, I recognize that inappropriate images and patterns pose a significant threat to the well-being of society. That's not the only reason, but violent video is an unpredictable driver of more and more citizens committing crimes. We can't rule out all controversial games and movies, however, public perception should be more tightly restricted to dangerous scenes. It's a matter of pride for society and its leaders. They must find a suitable means to combat the current human disease.
Sample 3:
Crime is a rife and serious dilemma. Fast-paced advancements are now one of the factors which take the blame for a violation, as many people claim that more and more brutal scenarios in media occur. Although it might sound obvious at first, I vehemently disagree with the statement. Criminal actions are primarily caused by economic and social backgrounds.
To begin with, it is explicable why the majority is used to view video games and films as culprits. Violence treatment and rewarding outcomes of a bad affair might build a wrong concept of the justice system. Especially, youth are easily influenced by these images on television, for instance, a serial Money Heist grabbed the attention of an audience for a prolonged period. All around the world teenagers create idols by following those characters. Also, the game industry is mainly dominated by fighting games, such as Mortal Combat and Tekken, which might spur them to take up experimenting with those tactics in the real world.
Despite the fact that rough behaviour is displayed in multimedia, consumers are not stimulated to rob or even commit a homicide. As it was mentioned in the previous paragraph, family environment and financial condition are crucial sources for offenders. Accumulated debts and lack of valid education negatively impact a community. In addition, as researchers present constant physical or sexual abuse in childhood could enhance the percentage of a kid to become an inmate in the future. Hence, it is hard for individuals to break this vicious cycle and avert the criminal world.
To conclude, it is undoubtful that technology takes an essential role in many fields of our lives. But I believe, that in order to tackle the issue of growth in illegal acts, the government would better focus on anti-poverty projects and provide deprived people with proper education rather than accusing the mass media.
