In the realm of sports, a perennial debate exists over whether success is primarily a result of innate talent or continuous hard work. While it is undeniable that natural talent provides a solid foundation for athletic prowess, I firmly believe that relentless dedication and consistent effort are the ultimate determinants of success in sports.

Firstly, natural talent undoubtedly plays a significant role in providing athletes with a competitive edge. Those born with exceptional physical abilities, such as speed, agility, and coordination, often find it easier to excel in sports from a young age. This innate advantage can set them apart from their peers and provide a head start in their athletic careers. For example, many legendary athletes, such as Usain Bolt and Serena Williams, have been lauded for their extraordinary natural abilities that were apparent even in their early years.

However, relying solely on inborn talent can be a double-edged sword. Talent without hard work is often wasted. The history of sports is replete with examples of prodigiously talented individuals who failed to reach their potential due to a lack of discipline, perseverance, and dedication. On the other hand, numerous athletes with modest natural abilities have achieved greatness through sheer hard work and relentless determination. A prime example is Michael Jordan, who, despite not being the most naturally gifted player, became a basketball legend through his unwavering commitment to improvement and an unparalleled work ethic.

Moreover, continuous hard work fosters resilience and mental toughness, essential attributes for success in sports. The journey to athletic excellence is fraught with challenges, setbacks, and failures. Athletes who cultivate a habit of relentless practice and self-improvement are better equipped to overcome these obstacles. They develop a growth mindset, viewing failures as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than insurmountable barriers. This resilience is often the distinguishing factor between those who achieve lasting success and those who fall by the wayside.

In addition, the modern sports landscape demands more than just physical prowess. Strategic thinking, tactical awareness, and the ability to adapt to different situations are crucial for success. These skills are honed through continuous learning, practice, and experience. Athletes who dedicate themselves to studying their sport, analyzing their performance, and constantly seeking ways to improve are the ones who ultimately achieve sustained success.

In conclusion, while natural talent provides a valuable head start in sports, it is the continuous effort, hard work, and dedication that ultimately determine success. The combination of innate ability and relentless perseverance creates a powerful synergy that propels athletes to the pinnacle of their sports. Therefore, I firmly believe that continuous working on oneself is the key to achieving lasting success in sports.

Without any doubt society is divided into two groups due to the distinct mindsets of people, therefore it has become a debatable issue whether a win comes from inborn talent or hard work done by an individual later in life brings success. This essay will not only shed light on both perceptions, but my point of view will be also elaborated in the conclusion.

To commence with the first notion, the qualities that individuals have from their birth play a vital role in becoming an excellent sportsperson because the genetics of a person are responsible for the growth of a body and most players receive sportsmanship in heritage from their parents. To illustrate, a survey was conducted in India, and it was observed that well-known sports people had parents or grandparents who were interested in games and had participated at various high levels tournaments. Hence, talent from birth cannot be neglected.

Moving towards the other idea, self-improvement can change a learner's life because it is said that perfection comes from practice and the same notion applies to athletics. In addition, the body can be changed by practice as qualities like stamina, which is considerable strength comes from long-term running practices and other physical activities. Thus, players spend a huge amount of time in playgrounds. For instance, Neeraj Choopra who was an Indian-origin player participated multiple times in the commonwealth games and won the gold medal in javelin throw in 2022, he told in his interview how the practice made him capable of winning a gold medal. Therefore, hard work makes a big difference in the performance of sportsmen.

In conclusion, in my opinion, working hard is the only way to achieve something in life but inborn skills are also a kind of privilege for some people but, it cannot not be said that a person became fine in any field only because of skills that he had from birth.

The success factor of a sportsman has always been a controversial one. Few people believe that the innate talent is the reason for achievement while others concur that continual working is a key factor. This essay will examine both the views and the reason why I agree that hard work is a much needed one to excel in sport.

To begin with, those people who advocate that inborn talent is enough for a person to become a successful sportsman have their own justifiable reasons. Firstly, a few sports really do not need great effort or practice to win a game. Running, for example, apparently, those people from African continent are sprinters by nature, and they easily compete and win other people. In addition to that, they believe that only having the physical strength will make an athlete achieve higher in their games. For instance, to become a successful basketball player, they think height is the only needed qualification.

Having said that, others and I believe that hard work and continuous practice are the success formula to reach the goal of victory in any games. A player can never be a successful one without dedication and perpetual work. Furthermore, even though if someone is not with the inborn talent, he or she can improve their skills and succeed by doing the regular practice. To illustrate, Sachin Tendulkar, the greatest Cricket player of this era, reached a milestone where no one can reach him. This success never came to him in an easy way. He practiced a lot with dedication for at least 5 to 6 hours a day, which made him as a unique batsman than others. Evidently, hard work and dedication are the key formula to win.

In summary, I would like to reiterate my views, although few sportsmen are achieved with only their innate ability, only those who continually practicing improving their skills can taste the victory for ever.
