The world is continuously evolving with new infrastructure. With the advent of supermarkets, hypermarkets, and complexes, the way people shop has changed. They have basically sidelined the local markets and small shops. I opine that this is a positive development, and this essay will reflect upon a few reasons for the same.

There are various reasons for the popularity of supermarkets. These offer a lot of convenience to the public with various features ranging from multiple payment options to home deliveries. Secondly, they offer quality produce, whether it is a packaged item or fresh produce. Quantity is another strong factor and supermarkets offer generous quantities with more affordable and bargain prices. The produce available in supermarkets is mostly available at fixed prices, resulting in less frequent changes and is less prone to market rate fluctuations. A lot of products generally available are branded, resulting in a more assured and promised buying experience.

These markets are plusher and more upmarket, resulting in a better and ambient shopping experience as opposed to the local shops. They offer a plethora of facilities such as hygienic washrooms, televisions, food counters, helpers, trolleys, air conditioning to name a few. Lastly, there is the fact that these places stock everything neatly and display them in an organised manner. This systematic display allows the buyers to purchase in bulk at a cheaper price, consequently reflecting in the form of better spending habits in people. To sum it up, I think these factors have a positive impact on people’s lives and hence, this phenomenon of shopping in supermarkets and avoiding the local shops is a positive one.

Supermarkets are becoming increasingly popular, leaving the local stores far behind in competition. The reason for such a phenomenon is the enhanced shopping experience for consumers. Overall, it is a positive trend, and this stand shall be explained further in the essay.

According to latest statistics, most people are now favouring supermarkets for the simple reason that everything they require can be shopped from under one roof like groceries, apparels, electronics, toiletries and so on. Supermarkets have a large air-conditioned ambiance, along with organized departments and a trained, friendly staff to assist customers with their shopping requirements. Moreover, supermarkets stock a variety of brands and products which make the consumer’s selection wider and his choice a more well-informed one. Unlike certain malpractices of the local shops, say of promoting a particular brand only, supermarkets take the feedback of their customers and stock products accordingly.

Since supermarkets stock products in a larger quantity, they are able to quote them in prices cheaper than other smaller retail stores. Many supermarket chains run offers and discount coupon schemes. Also, some supermarkets also offer home delivery services, which is undoubtedly a considerable benefit. Although there is a drawback of more time being consumed in search of items, it can be passed upon as shopping is becoming more of a leisure time activity day by day. Catering to this need, some supermarkets also house a food court, making the consumers’ shopping time a very enjoyable one.

Needless to say, superstores are definitely the more preferred choice by consumers. The convenient and cheaper shopping experience, along with trusted quality products has marked their rationalized rise in the market.

Today we can witness the fact that mega-stores are becoming more popular among individuals rather than minor outlets or open markets. The main reason for this alarming trend, in my opinion, is comfortability in concert with a substantial discount scheme.

To begin with, few people would argue with the fact that most supermarkets are provided with a well-designed layout. To be more precise, for the most part, goods are located in appropriate departments, which certainly makes it less challenging for consumers to find a necessary product. For instance, if one wants to buy a dairy product along with household chemicals in an open market, they will be forced to look for commodities in various minor outlets, which is definitely time-consuming. Additionally, many supermarkets offer a special discount system by providing their consumers with diverse membership cards.

Consequently, I consider this trend as a positive influence in attitude towards society. Not only can people assign their precious time, saved during shopping in a supermarket, to their dear ones, but they are also enabled to buy goods at a decent price. As a result, it will positively impact their frame of mind together with their family budget. However, we cannot neglect one drawback regarding local markets or small shops. The deficiency of consumers will lead them to shut down and as a knock-off effect, it might increase the unemployment rate.

In summary, I deem that bargain prices and convenient location of goods make consumers prioritize supermarkets over local markets and minor outlets.

There is no doubt that recently, the number of small merchant’s shops has plummeted. The question is, is it true that customers prefer going shopping in a large mall rather than a small one? In this essay, I am going to discuss the view and submit my opinion.

In terms of advantages, mega-stores or shops provide well-designed layouts. The main reason given to support these claims is this arrangement with names of product labels that aid the customer to find a necessary product. To illustrate, if one wants to buy a dairy product with household chemicals in an open market, they will be forced to look for commodities labels to guide them where they are without asking anyone. In other words, dividing the segments of the product definitely means time-consuming. Also, the big supermarket offers delivery services without fees, thus will attract customers to deal with them.

However, tiny groceries might not have a massive reputation as mega-stores. Firstly, customers may feel a loss of trust in the products. Secondly, by the amount of, commodity if no one buys it, it will be rotten due to the expiration date.

Even though the customer can easily find what they search for in the small shop, they could buy a bad brand of a commodity.

In conclusion, although the small local shop has not insignificant customers, mega-stores have a variety of products. I believe that the traders of supermarkets, whether big or small, should concern for the customer by facilitating processes for their needs to reach them rapidly.

In this concurrent era, everything is easily available in the markets. There is a discussion going on that these days the majority of folks like to do shopping from shopping centres instead of local shops. According to my point of view, it is a positive development. I will discuss this and share my point of view in upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the benefits of supermarkets. The preponderant one is availability. It is seen that everyday usable products are not properly accessible in local and small shops. People have to visit distinct stores to purchase their items. But, in supermarkets, everything is present, due to the fact that masses can save their time by visiting there. Moreover, local shops or markets always sell their products at print rates, but supermarket shopkeepers always lower the price from print rates as they also buy things at half price. Thus, they just forward things with little profit. It is really beneficial for customers.

Furthermore, the majority of supermarket vendors like to incline their reputation in their business, so they like to have high-quality products to sell, rather than cheaper ones. Thus, individuals can expect the best quality items from supermarkets as well. To exemplify this, these days there is a lot of competition between shopkeepers about their sales. They always have to have the best quality products in their shop, So, more and more people visit their store.

To conclude, according to my point of view, shopping centres have a lot of benefits that can be avail to people. But, it can lower the business of local shopkeepers, which is also another major factor to consider.
