Sample 1:

In many countries, the proportion of the younger generation is increasing more and more than the older age–group. I believe there are more advantages to this than its drawbacks and my views regarding this are discussed below.

To begin, as the young generation is surging, employment in the work which requires strength would increase, which would automatically enlarge the advancement of a particular country. Furthermore, the young generation has a creative mind and more high-yielding than the older generation which will ultimately help in the development of the industry and bring out innovative creations to the world. For example, in developed nations like Australia, Canada, etc., employees are in their late 25s only so they can work for the company for more than two decades over there and are able to give a great advantage to the respective nation.

On the other hand, as there would be more youngsters, then the competition among them would increase and will ultimately cause unemployment for the deserved candidate and it may change his mind and he can do bad things in his life. Besides this, as the population of the old generation is diminishing, the rituals of the family and country will not be followed, and the tradition of a particular country will be forgotten by the new generation.

To conclude, although the development of the country and creativity in the country will increase by the newcomers the disadvantages would also be there it as in, the competition among the new jobs will increase and also the new generation will not follow the old tradition which is followed by their ancestors.

Sample 2:

Currently, there are more youngsters in the whole world than elderly people. I reckon that there are more drawbacks of this ongoing thing than its benefits, as the awareness that the old generation has will not be complemented by the new generation.

Scrutinizing the disadvantages first, in countries like India, the old generations are contemplated as the idol of the family and the accomplishment provided by the old generation of the family is indispensable for the new generation also, they give knowledge of the world. In addition to that, elders have more experience, perception, talents, and prior knowledge on the subject. For example, the old worker who has been employed by one company for 10 years will definitely have a better recommendation about the problem than the newcomers by his experience and knowledge of the instruments used in that situation.

Coming to the advantages, having more young people is also advantageous as they would be able to work more than old workers due to their more physical strength and fresh mind regarding the workplace. Furthermore, the foreign industries would invest and make their network in a country where the younger population is more as they would get more young employees from that country which will indirectly be beneficial for the nation as the foreign exchange would have surged and the GDP of the country will also increase.

In conclusion, although the foreign companies will invest in a country where younger people are more but, the experience which is there with the old people cannot be matched.

Sample 3:

In many countries, the old generations are diminishing as compared to the new generations. This has related advantages in many areas, and I personally think there will be fewer disadvantages.

Coming to advantages first, the younger generation will have more knowledge of the new machinery used in the world as they are taught about that technology in college and may be able to familiarize themselves with the new technology more efficiently and faster than the old generation. For instance, if a worker who is working in an institution where new technology is introduced then he would face difficulty in memorizing its function, but the new employees would be able to work more efficiently as he would have knowledge of it. A large number of young people means that the country has a large number of human resources, which can help in the economic development of a country. As a result, governments can collect large amounts of taxes, which can be used for the country's infrastructure and will also increase tourist attraction from other countries.

Coming to disadvantages, as the young generation will be more the strain on the education system will be more and more which will result in decrease in quality education in the countries. As the burden on the schools will increase, they will not be able to give their personal attention to every child in the school.

To conclude, as knowledge of the new instruments would be there in the younger generation than elderly people, they would be able to make more contribution to the nation but, burden on the education system would also increase.

Sample 4:

In recent times, some countries have seen a significant increase in the number of young adults in their population, while the number of older people remains relatively low. This demographic situation has led to debates on whether the advantages of having a predominantly young population outweigh the disadvantages. This essay will assess both the pros and cons of this situation and conclude that having a large proportion of youths has more advantages than demerits.

One advantage of having a large population of young adults is the potential for economic growth. Young adults are typically more productive and innovative and are more likely to start businesses that can contribute to economic growth. Additionally, a large pool of young workers can help offset the financial burden of providing healthcare and pensions for an ageing population. For example, countries like India and China have a significant young population, which has contributed to their rapid economic growth in recent years.

A high population of young adults can also have negative consequences. One of the main disadvantages is the potential for high unemployment rates, particularly if there is not enough demand for labour. This can lead to social unrest and political instability. Additionally, a young population can also lead to a lack of experienced workers, which can create skill shortages in certain industries, such as healthcare and education.

Despite the potential disadvantages, I believe that the advantages of having a relatively large number of young adults in a population outweigh the disadvantages. The economic benefits of a young population are too significant to ignore, particularly in developing countries that are trying to achieve rapid economic growth.

In conclusion, while having a large population of young adults has both advantages and disadvantages, I believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Governments should focus on developing policies and programs to maximize the potential economic benefits of a young population while mitigating the potential negative consequences.

Sample 5:

Youths in some nations, including some Asian, African and Western countries, comprise the highest percentage of the total population. Having a larger proportion of youth is considered to have many advantages as well as demerits for a country. I personally believe that a country reaps more benefits from its active and young workforce.

Having a large proportion of young adults and a relatively low percentage of seniors may lead to a disbalance in the demography of a nation and bring some negative consequences. Unemployment could be one such significant negative outcome which can lead to increasing crime rates, social unrest and political instability. Moreover, elderly people have vast experience and wisdom that are vital for many important state positions. With their diminishing numbers, the nation may struggle to find suitable elderly to fill those positions. For instance, elderly politicians, writers, researchers and doctors have more to contribute to society than their younger counterparts.

On the other hand, the young generation is dynamic, and energetic, and can contribute to the job sector which has a huge positive impact on the economic development of the country. They come up with fresh ideas and are free from old dogma. It gives them a competitive advantage in bringing innovations. It is undeniable that the educated young generation is the best resource a country can have, and their contribution to the country is significantly higher than the participation of children and elderly people. For instance, technological development is mostly driven by youths and many countries reap the benefits of technological advancements from their relatively higher younger populations.

To conclude, older people should not be considered a burden for the country; however, the young have more to contribute to society and the country as a whole. This is why it is more beneficial for a country to have an active and innovative workforce than dependent senior citizens.

Sample 6:

The demographic makeup of many countries at present reflects a larger proportion of young adults in comparison to the number of older individuals. There is ongoing debate regarding whether the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages. This essay will examine both perspectives and provide relevant examples to support the arguments.

On the one hand, the prevalence of a youthful population offers several advantages. Firstly, young adults are often characterized by their ambition and motivation. These qualities can be harnessed to drive progress and innovation within a society. For instance, many successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders are young adults who have exhibited exceptional drive and determination in pursuing their goals. Furthermore, the physical vigor and mental resilience commonly associated with youth can contribute to the overall strength and vitality of a nation. This is exemplified by the significant role played by young soldiers in defending and safeguarding the security of a country.

Conversely, it is essential to acknowledge the potential drawbacks of an imbalanced age distribution within a population. Young adults are frequently perceived as being impulsive and imprudent, traits which can hinder the stability and development of a society. In contrast, older individuals are often characterized by their wisdom, prudence, and composure, qualities that are indispensable for guiding and mentoring the younger generation. The absence of such mentorship and guidance could impede the societal progress and growth.

In conclusion, while the larger population of young adults brings with it advantages such as ambition and physical resilience, the absence of older individuals with their wisdom and experience could pose potential challenges for society. It is imperative for nations to strike a balance in their age demographics to ensure the nurturing of a well-rounded and prosperous community.

Sample 7:

Today, in some countries, young adults account for a comparatively large proportion of the population compared with older people. I believe the upsides of this situation far outweigh its downsides because young people are the main drivers of economic growth.

One disadvantage of having large numbers of young people may be that it can lead to high unemployment among them. Most older people already have their careers figured out. They either

have stable corporate jobs or run their own businesses. In comparison, many young adults, especially those who just graduated from university, are still looking for jobs. When there are too many of them competing for the same positions, their chances of securing one can be very low. However, I do not think this is a major disadvantage for young people as long as they make the leap to self-employment.

On the positive side, young people are the driving force of an economy. This is because they tend to be more productive and creative than older people and thus are more likely to bring change and innovation to their countries. Take for example the highly innovative trillion-dollar U.S. tech industry. Most employees in this industry are only in their late 20s. I think this creates a great advantage for a country because a strong economy offers people high standards of living.

In conclusion, although large numbers of young adults can mean high jobless rates among them, I believe this disadvantage is greatly outweighed by the advantage that they can drive an economy to grow.

Sample 8:

The average life expectancy rate has come down drastically in many countries. It is 70 in Asia and 79 in countries like the USA and Europe. So there are few older people in the world. The young population is comparatively higher. Some are of the opinion that a country can progress with this disproportionate rate of population while others argue that we need older people in equal numbers. I think that having a larger ratio of young people will definitely be advantageous.

Young people are doers. They are capable of accomplishing a given task and their productivity levels are unmatched. They are also at less risk of developing health complications. So a nation composed of healthy, actively contributing young people is sure to progress in all spheres. Young people are quick to learn and easily adapt to changing environments. They are also the resource base with which a country can attract business opportunities that are pivotal for economic growth and development. They think out of the box and don’t cling to old ideas. If properly educated and utilised, they are an asset to the nation.

As every coin has two sides, this population variation has downsides too. Young people tend to act fast. Older people think twice before they attempt to do something. Out of experience, they are wiser. Young people are prone to misuse. If not properly managed, they can ruin a nation’s progress. Having a larger proportion of young people means that more people are in the working age bracket. So, the country will be pressured to create adequate job opportunities failing which their youth may tread in unwanted paths and cause harm.

In summary, having a larger proportion of youth is undoubtedly a boon. Given proper direction, they can create wonders. It is up to the country to utilize their youth to the maximum potential in order to reap benefits.

Sample 9:

In numerous nations today, a demographic tilt towards a younger population is observable, as opposed to a more aged demographic. This phenomenon, while presenting unique challenges, predominantly heralds a plethora of opportunities that, in my view, surpass the associated drawbacks. The crux of this essay will delve into the dynamism and innovation brought forth by a youthful populace and the potential strains on societal infrastructure, before affirming the overall advantage of such a demographic composition.

Primarily, a youthful demographic infuses a nation with vibrancy and innovation, serving as the bedrock of a thriving, forward-looking society. Young adults, being at the zenith of their creative prowess, drive technological advancements and foster entrepreneurial ventures that are crucial for economic diversification. For instance, Silicon Valley's tech boom, a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of its young, dynamic workforce, has not only created myriad employment opportunities but also propelled the United States to the forefront of the global digital economy. This demographic's propensity for risk-taking, coupled with an unparalleled adaptability, underpins a culture of continuous improvement and economic expansion, laying a robust foundation for future prosperity and setting a benchmark for global innovation trends.

Conversely, the preponderance of young adults can exert pressure on educational and employment infrastructures, potentially leading to heightened competition for resources and job opportunities, thus presenting a complex challenge for policy planners and educators alike. However, this challenge is mitigated by the inherent capacity of a youthful society to adapt and evolve, making it an engine for societal transformation. Proactive investment in education and skill development, meticulously tailored to the emerging demands of the global market, can transform these potential drawbacks into opportunities. By doing so, it ensures that the workforce remains competitive and versatile, while also innovatively meeting societal needs, thereby crafting a resilient economic landscape that is prepared to navigate the uncertainties of the future.

In conclusion, the demographic shift towards a younger population undoubtedly poses challenges, yet the overarching benefits—stemming from innovation and economic vitality—far exceed these issues. Young adults' capacity for driving change and adapting ensures not only immediate advantages but also a resilient and flourishing future for their communities.

Sample 10:

Today's demographic landscape in several countries showcases a notable tilt towards a younger populace, juxtaposed with fewer older individuals. This shift, albeit fraught with challenges, primarily augurs well for societal progress and innovation, far outweighing any potential disadvantages. The essence of this discourse will revolve around the vitality and fresh perspectives young adults contribute to societal development, and the consequent demands placed on infrastructural resources, ultimately underscoring the demographic shift's overall positive impact.

The infusion of young adults into the societal fabric injects a dynamic force of creativity and adaptability, pivotal for driving technological advancements and spearheading novel entrepreneurial endeavors. For example, the vibrant startup ecosystem in Bangalore, often hailed as India's Silicon Valley, thrives on the ingenuity and resilience of its youthful population. These young minds not only challenge the status quo but also lay the groundwork for a future replete with groundbreaking innovations, thereby catalyzing economic growth and enhancing global competitiveness. Their enthusiasm and willingness to embrace change serve as a catalyst for societal transformation, paving the way for advancements that span across various sectors, from technology to sustainable development.

However, this demographic trend also strains existing educational and employment systems, as the surge in young adults vies for limited opportunities and resources. Yet, such challenges prompt the reevaluation and strengthening of these very systems, encouraging investments in education and vocational training that are aligned with the evolving job market. By fostering a culture of lifelong learning and adaptability, societies can better equip their youth to navigate future uncertainties, turning potential challenges into stepping stones for progress.

In summation, the increasing prevalence of a youthful demographic offers a promising avenue for societal advancement through innovation and adaptability, significantly outweighing the logistical challenges it presents. This demographic pivot not only enriches the societal tapestry with fresh ideas and energy but also ensures a resilient and prosperous future through the continuous evolution of its people and systems.

Sample 11:

Nowadays, some countries’ young adult population is way higher than that of elderly people. Though it comes at the cost of cultural preservation as the older people are more concerned about the heritage and identity, a country with a larger share of young people definitely enjoys advantages in terms of robust workforce and modern economic development.

Young people are engines of a national economic development. This age group consists of the main workforce, and they are more adaptable to the ever-changing science and technological innovation that results in economic opportunities. In fact, young minds are more confident to take risks on undertaking daunting tasks, and eventually they are the ones who are coming up with global leading entrepreneurships that generate massive employments and economic growth for their countries. For instance, SpaceX, Tesla, Facebook etc. revolutionary companies were launched by young energetic people, and they have been contributing incredibly to their countries’ economic development.

However, a lower share of aged population could risk a country’s cultural and identical heritages, because old people are more aware of these issues. Senior people passionately tend to pass their ethnical and lingual uniqueness to the next generations. In fact, cultural individuality is one of the key features of a country’s standout presentation in the global arena, and if there is a significantly lower number of old people, this feature might face the threat of extinction.

In conclusion, though the older citizens are more aware of practicing and passing the cultural identity to the next generations, the young people are at the heart of overall economic development because they are more talented in terms of undertaking dynamic challenges and harnessing diverse economic opportunities.

Sample 12:

Nowadays, in some nations there is a large young population compared with that one formed by older people. There are both benefits and drawbacks to this situation because, even though a great number of young people in a country can boost its economy, this comes at the cost of people’s wise attitude and of overall security.

It is undeniable that a great number of young people can boost a country’s economy by a reduction of its national debt, and by more people involved in active jobs. In fact, the pension scheme is considered the most important cause of the steep rise of the national debt of those nations in which there is a large number of old individuals, due to monthly payments made by government to retired people. In addition, a younger population, engaging in many jobs, such as manufacturing, services and any kind of intellectual work, can really let a country thrive, due to a stronger economy, and to more scientific progress.

On the contrary, a large young population can affect society, due to a less wise approach to adversities, and to an increased crime rate. This is especially true if we consider that when we are older, we develop more empathy, becoming more compassionate in general. Moreover, impatience, typical of young age, can have a detrimental impact on society because it can lead to lack of capacity to tackle difficulties, such as economic adversities, causing in some cases riots too. In addition, especially in these hurdles, there is also a crime rate surge, which can really endanger the life of many people. Furthermore, an increased number of crimes can seriously damage the economy of a country and cause a decline of jobs available.

In conclusion, although it comes at the cost of smooth social interaction and safety, a large young population can boost economic and scientific progress. Weighing in all the options, I think that a great number of young people can really let a country flourish.
