Sport at school

I used to wear glasses when I was at school, and so I (1) ............................... sport very difficult. I wanted to be involved (2) ................... school sports competitions, and I loved the idea of teams competing with each other but being on the rugby team meant having to take off my glasses, and that meant that I could not see! So I was not very good and the captains always made (3) ................................. that I was not on their teams. This meant I was free to do other activities, being on the debating team and actually I preferred (4) .......................... things I was good (5) ................................... doing rather than have everyone laugh at me.
