You received an email from your brother, Mark. He is asking for your help to organize a “Welcome Home” party for your parents, who are returning from a long vacation. Read his email below.

Hi,

Our parents are coming back from their two-week trip to Europe next Sunday! I want to surprise them with a “Welcome Home” party. Do you think we should have a big party with all the relatives or just a small family dinner? Also, what kind of food should we prepare? I remember Mom loves seafood, but Dad prefers traditional dishes. Lastly, do you have any ideas for a small “Welcome Home” gift?

Nowadays, online learning has become increasingly popular thanks to its flexibility and convenience. While some people believe it is more effective for students, others argue that traditional classroom learning plays a more important role in academic development. In my opinion, although online education offers many advantages, traditional learning is still the better option for most students.

On the one hand, online learning provides learners with a great deal of convenience. Students can study anytime and anywhere without having to travel to school, which helps them save both time and money. This method is especially useful for people who have busy schedules or live far from educational institutions. In addition, online courses usually provide recorded lessons and digital materials, allowing students to review lessons at their own pace. As a result, learners can become more independent and improve their technological skills at the same time.

On the other hand, I believe traditional classroom learning is more beneficial for students’ overall academic progress. In a face-to-face environment, students can communicate directly with teachers and classmates, making it easier to ask questions and receive immediate support. Classroom activities and group discussions also help learners develop important soft skills such as teamwork and communication. Furthermore, studying at school often creates a more disciplined atmosphere, which encourages students to stay focused and motivated. In contrast, many online learners are easily distracted by social media or other forms of entertainment at home.

In conclusion, although online learning is flexible and accessible, I believe traditional classroom education remains more effective in terms of both academic performance and personal development. However, combining online and offline learning may become the most practical approach in the future.
