My favorite time is when I go to hip hop battles with my friends and perform with DJs. It’s out of this world!

I play bass guitar in a band and we practice every day in my friend’s garage. I enjoy listening to different music genres, from pop to RnB. I learnt the accoustic guitar at school. I can compose music but I don’t write the lyrics for the songs. Doing gigs with the band is my biggest thrill. Next month, we’re going to a studio to record some of our songs. We’re very excited about it.

I love pop from the bottom of my heart. It really brings out so many great emotions in me. It’s also a way for me to relax. Going to pop concerts is incredibly entertaining. You can see people singing along, cheering loud or dancing. And at the end of the show, you can rush to the singer and ask for an autograph. At the moment, I’m taking singing lessons, and I hope I can perform on stage one day.

WHY VOLUNTEERING

Hil My name is Tom. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to volunteer. I am now a member of different voluntary groups, and I take different roles. These roles are simple, like taking old people for a walk in nursing homes and running activities for children at an after-school club. I enjoy volunteering, and I encourage others to join charity events as soon as possible. Here are some reasons for volunteering.

1. It's a chance to gain experience and skills.

Volunteering allows you to gain valuable experience and skills for the future. Many volunteer activities, for example, can help you gain experience working as part of a team.

2. You can meet new people.

One of the best things about volunteering is meeting the other volunteers. They are very interesting and you can learn many things from them.

3. It's a way to gain confidence.

If you are shy, volunteering can help you feel more comfortable talking to strange people and even in front of a crowd!

4. You can be so happy!

Doing a good thing for someone or helping others can make you happy.

Would you like to try this type of egg?

    We eat eggs every day. There are many types of eggs to choose from and many ways to cook them, from frying to boiling. In Vietnam, however, there is an unusual type of egg known as the century egg or trứng bắc thảo. A century is equal to 100 years, but a century egg is not that old.

    A century egg is ready when it turns dark brown and has a strong, salty taste. The common way to make century eggs is to cover chicken eggs or duck eggs with clay, wood ash, and salt. Then, keep them there for two or three months.

    In Ho Chi Minh City, century eggs are very popular. It is easy to buy them at any egg stall in a market or from a department store. Mostly, people eat them as a side dish. You can also find people eating it with soup or boiled rice. Century eggs don't smell nice, so I'm not particularly eager to eat them. However, when I eat them more, I find them delicious. If you go to Ho Chi Minh City, remember to try century eggs with a bowl of hot soup.
